Bedtime Story Hour
A story hour held in the early evening from 6:30PM to 7:30PM. Children are encouraged to come in their pyjamas and bring a snugly toy as our Children's Programmer, Sue Bergeron, lulls them to sleep with a bedtime story.

Children are given a bedtime snack: Hot chocolate (or sometimes juice) and cookies, of course!

These story hours will be held on the third Tuesday of each month at our Kemptville Branch.

Sarah's Circle
Sarah's Circle is a pre-school program offered, free of charge, to parents and care-givers and their young children. It is designed to introduce young children to reading and libraries.

The program is run at the Kemptville Branch and is facilitated by our Children's Programmer, Sue Bergeron, and sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Each session runs for 45-60 minutes. We now offer four sessions: Tuesday at 9:30AM; Tuesday at 10:45AM; Wednesday at 9:30AM; and Wednesday at 10:45AM.

Sessions include songs, stories, an activity, and finger plays. Sue uses a number of props including puppets, flannel board, floor puzzles and big books. Each week a different theme is explored, letters, numbers, fall, fruits and vegetables.

The sessions are not designed as a playgroup or drop-in centre. Parents must stay with their children. We have babies as young as three months attending the program.

Winter Session Dates: Jan 12th and 13th to Mar 9th and 10th.

We are still doing 2 sessions on Tuesday mornings and 2 on Wed mornings, thanks to a generous donation from the Friends.

This program requires pre-registration. If you are interested in enrolling your child please call 613-258-4711 or email kidsngpl@ripnet.com.
