The Library offers cool programs and book clubs for kids.
In addition to its multitude of library, Internet and circulation services, the North Grenville Public Library holds on-going used book sales at its various branches. The Library boasts the lowest used book prices in town!
The
South Gower Branch offers the largest on-going book sale. Most books are available for under $1.00: Mystery, suspense, romance, literary fiction, non-fiction, biography, sports, and more...! The
Kemptville and
Oxford Mills Branches also offer small on-going book sales (less than 50 books for sale at each branch).
You can buy a used children's book for as little as 10¢ at the Kemptville Branch Library!

Search the Catalogue
Quick Search is the fastest way to search the collection. North Grenville partners with 4 other Library systems in Eastern Ontario so you will find the holdings of other library systems in the catalogue.
You should always search on
Search North Grenville. This includes all holdings for our library, North Grenville Public Library.
You can search by
author, title or keyword. You can find out where copies are located or an estimated number of days you will have to wait for a copy. In some cases you can see the cover of the book; read an excerpt or a review.
There are links to other titles by the same author or other books in the same subject area. You can also directly do a Google search to find more information.

Children's Computer
The North Grenville Public Library is proud to offer its first children's computer. The computer is located at the
South Gower Branch and reservations can be made by calling 258-4711.
The computer features
TumbleBook Library: e-books for e-kids! TumbleBooks are animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love. TumbleBooks are created by taking existing picture books, adding animation, sound, music and narration to produce an
electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you.
There are over 30 books to choose from; games and quizzes to facilitate learning; and puzzles that use pictures from the books themselves.
Several children can enjoy a picture book at the same time. Young children will need help from their parents to use the TumbleBook Library while older children who are familiar with computers will be able to use the features on their own. We request that the sound be kept to a minimum as not to distract other people using the Library facilities.
Internet waivers must be signed by a parent or caregiver before a child is allowed on the computer. For more information please call Sue Higgins at 258-4711.
Visit our
Tumblebooks Page for more details.

Public Access Computers
In addition to our children's computer at the South Gower Branch, Internet access is availble at all four branches; we now have a total of 8 computers for public use. Patrons simply need to complete a waiver form before using the Internet Workstation for the first time. Children under the age of 16 need a parent or caregiver to sign the waiver. These forms are to be given to the circulation desk when completed.
(NOTE: Programs vary depending on computer and/or branch.)
Print charges are $0.25 per black and white page, $0.50 for colour. Patrons wishing to download information must purchase a disk from the library for $1.00.
The
Kemptville Branch also offers free scanning services. See in branch for details.
