Support the Library
There are many ways to contribute to and support your local library. Read below to see how you can make a difference in your community...

VOLUNTEER
The Library is currently seeking volunteers for the new library, which opens May 28, 2011. The volunteer policy outlines the policies and procedures. Anyone interested in volunteering should fill out the Volunteer Application and submit to the Library.

DONATIONS
As of October 25, 2010 the Library will no longer be accepting book donations. As we ready the Library for the move to our new facility in May 2011 we are closely examining our collection. As part of the overall budget for the new Library we have purchased a large number of new books which will be shipped directly to the new Library. Notification will be posted on our website when we are ready to once again accept donations.

You can also make cash donations to the Library. Call Sue Higgins at 258-4711 for more information or read about our "Room to Read" and "Sarah's Circle" programs below.

ROOM TO READ CAMPAIGN
For the past 6 years the Library Board has been working on developing a plan for a new facility to replace our small and inaccessible branches. Many options have been closely examined. We have decided to locate the new library in the heart of downtown Kemptville on the banks of the South Branch of the Rideau River.

Visit our Room to Read page for more information »

SARAH'S CIRCLE
Sarah's Circle is a pre-school program offered, free of charge, to parents and care-givers and their young children. It is designed to introduce young children to reading and libraries. Sarah's Circle is named after Sarah Badgley, who was killed in an automobile accident in the summer of 2001.

Her parents Sue and Kerry requested that donations in her memory be given to the development of children's programs at the Library. Call 258-4711 for more information on how you can donate to Sarah's Circle.

FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY
